Project Supervisor - ICONIX Waterworks

ICONIX is currently looking for a Project Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of water meters for our Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Project in Prince Albert, SK.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include:

 

  • Supervising the work of water meter technicians to ensure meter exchanges are being performed according to ICONIX standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Participating in recruitment, selection, orientation, training and evaluation of employees.
  • Resolving customer complaints and responding to customer’s questions according to ICONIX policies and procedures in a timely manner.
  • Performing audits and inspections to ensure safety standards and quality are being maintained and correcting any errors or problems that are observed.
  • Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings.
  • Performing plumbing repairs, water meter changes, and radio installations as required.
  • Performing the daily downloading of information onto handheld units used by the field technicians.
  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports as required.
  • Managing the project site, and inventory.
  • Working with a family of real world problem solvers.
  • Participating in health and safety related duties.

 

The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Certification as Journeyman Plumber, or experienced Utility Operator with minimum Level II in Water Distribution and 5 years’ experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience an asset.
  • Experience with Meters/AMI/AMR an asset.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to lead, mentor and teach staff.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including evenings and out of town.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety.

 

Minimum qualifications include passing ICONIX’s background checks, and ability to drive (must be able to provide current driver’s abstract which shows you are in good standing).
