Tell Your Public Works COVID-19 Story

Tell Your Public Works COVID-19 Story

Though the COVID-19 virus is, and will likely for some time to come, presenting difficulties for our country, CPWA/APWA must continue, and even ramp up, our advocacy efforts. It is during times like this that advocacy becomes even more important. Successful advocacy educates elected officials, policymakers, the public, and the media so a greater understanding of public works can be achieved.

If you have "on the ground" direct COVID-19 experiences to share about how your department is addressing community needs and services, we encourage you to use this portal to submit a video and tell that story. Submitting your experience assists CPWA/APWA’s advocacy efforts as we can then share that information with Congressional members so they have a true understanding of public works as "first responders." Furthermore, this is a way for information to be shared with your public works peers.

Not sure what to discuss in your video? We've developed a PDF to provide you and your team with prompts. Feel free to answer as many as you'd like, or use these questions as a starting point.
NOTE: To insert a video into your story, click on the  icon in the editor tool on the Submit a Story page.

Tell your public works story - whether about your successes, challenges, community relations, equipment, or anything else you'd like to share.
