**New Airport Manager - Town of Drumheller

Looking for a rewarding career to apply your interest in air traffic and a practical, hands on business and management opportunity? Or perhaps contemplating a new career, or moving toward a different pace?

Then, the full-time Airport Manager job might be the right move for you. The Airport Manager oversees, manages, maintains and plans for 88 acres of functioning services to support aviation activity. As well as attracting and retaining tenants, the Airport Manager will create long-term plans for maintenance, development and expansion of the airport.

It’s a unique job that requires a multi-skilled person with sound business acumen, and someone who doesn’t shy away from jumping in to do the practical work.  Along with business acumen and digital experience, there is also an opportunity to apply marketing skills.

If you’re someone who likes networking and engaging with others, this job offers that as well. The work requires someone who is comfortable talking to and engaging with others, and who enjoys building relationships and partnerships.

It’s not all sitting at a desk, there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy the good weather and fresh air while doing the typical tasks required to maintain buildings and grounds of a rural airport.

This job will appeal to you if you are self-motivated and disciplined, like working independently, and are comfortable making decisions on a variety of matters.  If your skills include operating equipment and the ability to turn a wrench, all the better.

Ideally, interested applicants will have post secondary education in Business Administration,  Management, Marketing or a related field.  Knowledge of aviation industry regulations and regulatory bodies is required.

Experience and background in an aviation setting such as Ramp work would be an asset. Knowledge of local aviation activity in the Drumheller area is preferred, but not required.

This job is an on-site position with some travel from time to time.

Interested individuals are invited to submit a resume with cover letter to HR@drumheller.ca.
